Mark your calendars for the weekend of November 6-8, 2009 to participate in the inaugural Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Movement Weekend and the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation’s (GCF) half marathon/5K/1 mile walk. GCF’s Race to End Women’s Cancer will taken place in Washington, DC, and the start/finish line will be on Pennsylvania Avenue, just two blocks from the White House.

GCF is pleased to make this announcement during September, Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month.

In addition to the race which will take place on Sunday, November 8, 2009, cervical, endometrial and ovarian cancer survivors will participate in free concurrent survivors courses on Saturday, November 7, 2009. This series is part of GCF’s cancer prevention outreach and education programs. These three courses will be taught by leading experts and it is the first time these three courses will be offered simultaneously. At the end of the day, the three groups of survivors, and their families and friends, and course faculty members will be offered a special networking and social experience during the Sisterhood of Survivorship celebration reception.
